As I was surfing today on some of my favorite and most inspiring advertising campaigns I thought of sharing with you Honda’s “Let it Shine” campaign. The campaign was designed to help support the new launch of their new hybrid car Honda Insight. The reason why you had probably not heard about this campaign before was that the entire campaign was not aired in the United States but was rather designed specifically for Europe, Middle East, Africa and the Russian region.
The “Let it Shine” campaign is set to introduce Honda’s new Insight with an outstanding approach; An approach that went past the unexpected as they make use of their actual “Insight” hybrid car to become the main part of the execution of a TV commercial. As you watch the TV commercial you will see that the animations that seem to be simply computer generated dots, are actually 1,000 of Honda Insights flashing their lights. All the Honda Insights are all arranged in a gigantic grid so they can appear as a perfect rectangle from the camera’s vantage point.
The fact that this creative team came up with such an original and unique idea was something inspiring. if you check the making off you will see how they have embraced the eco-friendly concept for the execution of the entire ad, Hope you enjoy!
